Situation
Active Environmental Services, Inc. was contracted to conduct a Site Characterization and to prepare a Corrective Action Plan (CAP) for a gasoline service station in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Site Characterization revealed petroleum in soil and ground water in the vicinity of the underground storage tanks formerly located on the site. The CAP approved by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) included quarterly monitoring of the on site monitoring wells and Monitored Natural Attenuation.

Corrective Action and Remediation Activities
Several underground storage tanks were removed from the site, along with adjacent soils. A No-Further-Action status was granted by IDEM in 2005.
