Active Environmental Services Celebrates Company Milestone

Active Environmental Services, Inc. has reached a milestone in the history of the company. The company’s clients have received 100 No-Further-Action letters from state or federal agencies. 

Background

On November 1, 1998, the office opened as Active Environmental Services, Inc. The most important part are the clients that agreed to continue to work with Active Environmental. Three things have contributed to the success of the business. Rachel, Kim’s wife, supported the business venture; the family joined Bethel Lutheran Church; and Duke’s Earth Services, Inc. (DESI) was a 50 percent owner in Active Environmental. 

Today

Active Environmental’s employees are the most important part of the clients receiving the 100 No-Further-Action letters! There are 17 employees who have worked with clients in the 15 years (as of November 2012) that the company has been in business. The employees have contributed to the closure of these sites. Active’s dedicated; professional, experienced and responsive employees continue to work with state and federal agencies to close sites.

Many of Active Environmental’s clients from 1998, when the business started, are clients and friends today. The company’s relationships with clients, IDEM employees and clients’ employees contribute to the process of closing sites — and to 100 No-Further-Action letters for our clients and counting!
